岗位职责

                      Title: NPI Project/Program Manager                         

Basic Function of the Job          

Manage   product development from concept to products including new platform and   derivatives / modifications to existing products. Produce and own the project   plan, project cost and on-time deliverables, materials planning/tracking,   task assignment and daily interaction with marketing, R&D, supply chain,   reliability, NPI and operation groups.          Organizational   Relationships

Reports to:      Program Management   Manager              Direct Reports:      NA              Primary Location:      Suzhou   

Job   Requirements

Education:   BS/MS in engineering or physics or other equivalent   /   PMP preferred     

Experience:     5+ years of project management experience in a global company   /    Work experience in optical communication industry preferred     

Special Skills:   Excellent English communication skills    /Knowledge of engineering R&D process and optical components is preferred. /   Ability to prepare and present concise plans, reports and other   project documents.    ·           Exhibits effective listening, influencing, and negotiating skills./   Strong project management and facilitation skills.   ·           Understand multi-national cultures, able to lead and coordinate   engineering teams in different global sites.   ·           Must be a task oriented master to lead the project team as the focal   point to achieve critical milestones, cost targets and product requirements.

Job   Element     

1)Project Planning          (20%)

A)   Develop   and manage the project plan for each phase  

B)   Define   and maintain the project contract for each phase

C)   Develop   and manage overall project cost across different functional areas         

2) Project   Execution     (     50%)    

A)     In NPI phase, interface with   customer directly as the main contact window to understand the requirements   and clarify confusion. Manage customer satisfaction on the regular   basis and take action towards customer’s feedback.  

B)     Set up and lead a   cross-functional project team.

C)   Track   slippage from project plan and develop contingency plans for addressing   slippage  

D)   Manage   logistics and communications for interactions      across extended function teams, conduct ship reviews for first sample   shipment    

E)   Act   as communication hub for project status, actions and issues to functional   groups, resolve day-to-day issues, publish meeting minutes and action items  

F)   Reinforce   project team’s adherence to PLC process, provide mentorship to new members of   the project team

G)   Highlights all the cost impact during NPI phase   H)   Monitor product cost/ suppliers   risk during NPI phase.         

3) Risk   Management          (20%)     

A)   Identify   and manage critical path, potential risks and specific mitigation plans to   address project risks  

B)   Develop   Risk Analysis summaries and create Lesson      Learnt document   

4) Project   Reporting (     10%)

A)   Prepare/update   project status review slides and present to management team periodically   

B)   Prepare/present   Gate/Phase Reviews to executive team
